The rule to keep in mind

Door Liar is the game that started the Liar Series: a short-session trap platformer where doors, signs, narrator lines and even the HUD can lie to you — but not always, which is the whole game. You run down a corridor, read the clues, and pick a door. To open a door you stand in the doorway for a moment while a meter fills, so running past one never opens it by accident. Choose wrong and you restart in under a second, with a translucent ghost of your last attempt replaying beside you.

Start with the constraint

A pause button in the left corner is not the real pause button.

Make one useful change

Watch your fail ghost: it shows exactly where the lie caught you.

Keep a way back

If a sign is shouting, it is probably lying. Quiet clues tend to be honest.

Commit to a door only when you have checked the whole corridor.

Controls and a safe pause

Move with the arrow keys or A / D. Jump with Up, W or Space. Pause with Esc or P, restart with R. Two move pads appear at bottom left and a jump pad at bottom right. The real pause button is always top right.

Open the game’s menu to pause and find its save tools. This game has no export tool; keep browser data to retain its progress. If a step feels unclear, return to the rule and the current goal rather than rushing.
