Compare a gate wait with an open detour

Gate Sprint · A practical starting point

Gate Sprint: actual running game, showing the board and controls
The game’s own board and controls. The points below refer to these mechanics.

The rule to keep in mind

Touch four numbered checkpoints in order on your own track. A closed gate blocks entry; it never traps a runner already inside.

Start with the constraint

Gate numbers show the current phase. Check whether the next entry will be open before committing to the crossing.

Make one useful change

Both runners have equivalent independent tracks. Swapping sides changes their display positions, not their speeds.

Keep a way back

A challenge needs an actual finish within its waiting allowance. Keep your next numbered checkpoint in view.

Controls and a safe pause

Arrow keys / WASD or held touch arrows move. Wait stops. Pause and explicit Resume preserve the current race.

Open the game’s menu to pause and find its save tools. Save a backup before clearing browser data. If a step feels unclear, return to the rule and the current goal rather than rushing.
