Lamplight: actual running game, showing the board and controls
The game’s own board and controls. The points below refer to these mechanics.

The rule to keep in mind

Lamplight is an Akari / Light Up logic puzzle on the Keep the Light night shell. Hang lanterns so every stone in the courtyard is lit. A lantern lights its row and column until a plinth or hedge blocks it; lanterns must never light each other; a numbered plinth says how many lanterns touch it. Forty handmade courtyards from 5×5 to 10×10, each proven to have exactly one solution, plus a seeded Daily.

Start with the constraint

Start from numbered plinths with only one legal neighbour set.

Make one useful change

A lantern that would light another lantern is always illegal — the game shows the conflict in red.

Keep a way back

Empty corners often force a lantern or an empty mark.

Play today’s Daily Courtyard for one seeded puzzle shared by everyone.

Controls and a safe pause

Click a cell to toggle a lantern. Keyboard shortcuts for hint, undo, reset and stage select are on screen. Tap cells to hang lanterns. Portrait layout supported.

Open the game’s menu to pause and find its save tools. This game has no export tool; keep browser data to retain its progress. If a step feels unclear, return to the rule and the current goal rather than rushing.
