Read the room in Lock Liar

Lock Liar · A practical starting point

The rule to keep in mind

Lock Liar brings keys, chests and locks to the Liar Series, and some of their labels are fakes. Stand at the honest key, chest or lock for a moment to use it and open the path, stop the spikes or unlock the true exit; use the wrong one and the chest, quite literally, tells you it lied. There is no inventory: each object works where it stands, so watch where you stop. Forty hand-authored levels build from a single fake label to rooms where every lock disagrees with every other lock.

Start with the constraint

Try the key that the level seems to discourage.

Make one useful change

Read lock labels against the intro line at the top of the screen.

Keep a way back

Chests can hide bad news as well as keys.

Open the Lie Codex from the title screen to review the lies you have found.

Controls and a safe pause

Move with the arrow keys or A / D. Jump with Up, W or Space. Pause with Esc or P, restart with R. On-screen move pads appear at bottom left and a jump pad at bottom right on touch devices.

Open the game’s menu to pause and find its save tools. This game has no export tool; keep browser data to retain its progress. If a step feels unclear, return to the rule and the current goal rather than rushing.
