The rule to keep in mind

Paint Hide 2: Snow Courtyard is the winter sequel to Paint Hide. You are still a gel slime painting yourself to match glowing mats, but now every step on snow (or wet paint the rest of the year) leaves a footprint the hunter can follow. Swept stone, doormats and the coloured mats leave no prints, so they break the trail. Prints fade. Getting caught works the same: wrong colour near the hunter’s light and you start again. Thirty hand-authored stages in five bands, plus a seeded Daily.

Start with the constraint

Stone and rugs wipe your trail — use them between snow stretches.

Make one useful change

Paint before you arrive on the mat; repainting takes a moment.

Keep a way back

Snow and Wet Paint skins share the same footprint rules.

Fri–Sun Daily stages are 2-mat relays.

Controls and a safe pause

Move with WASD or the arrow keys. Press 1–4 to paint, or click a paint zone. Drag on the left half for a floating joystick; tap a mat or colour swatch to paint. Portrait has its own top-down camera.

Open the game’s menu to pause and find its save tools. This game has no export tool; keep browser data to retain its progress. If a step feels unclear, return to the rule and the current goal rather than rushing.
