Plan your next refill before the tide

Paint Surf · A practical starting point

Paint Surf: actual running game, showing the board and controls
The game’s own board and controls. The points below refer to these mechanics.

The rule to keep in mind

Moving paints loose tiles. Seal spends one dose to make a tile waterproof. Every 15 seconds the tide washes loose paint away; after 45 seconds, only sealed tiles score.

Start with the constraint

Three starting doses do not cover a long route. Seal useful fresh tiles, then plan a return to your own striped buoy before running dry.

Make one useful change

Loose paint can show a promising route, but it gives no final points. A sealed tile has a dark border and your slash or circle pattern.

Keep a way back

Pause freezes the tide, doses and cooldown. Continue restores a saved round and waits for Resume. Replays show recorded actions without awarding progress.

Controls and a safe pause

Player 1 uses WASD and Space. Player 2 uses arrows and Enter in local keyboard mode. On touch screens, use direction buttons and Seal together. Rotate or switch tabs to pause; resume explicitly. Progress saves in this browser; there is no export/import tool.

Open the game’s menu to pause and find its save tools. This game has no export tool; keep browser data to retain its progress. If a step feels unclear, return to the rule and the current goal rather than rushing.
