How to play & controls
Door Liar is the game that started the Liar Series: a short-session trap platformer where doors, signs, narrator lines and even the HUD can lie to you — but not always, which is the whole game. You run down a corridor, read the clues, and pick a door. To open a door you stand in the doorway for a moment while a meter fills, so running past one never opens it by accident. Choose wrong and you restart in under a second, with a translucent ghost of your last attempt replaying beside you.
- Run, jump and read every sign, but remember that any of them might be lying.
- Stand in a doorway until the meter fills to open it.
- Spikes never lie. Everything else is up for debate.
- Fail five times on a level and a free Skip appears.
- Clear levels to unlock eight cosmetic trails; there is no shop.
Move with the arrow keys or A / D. Jump with Up, W or Space. Pause with Esc or P, restart with R. Two move pads appear at bottom left and a jump pad at bottom right. The real pause button is always top right.

Tips & saving
A pause button in the left corner is not the real pause button.
Watch your fail ghost: it shows exactly where the lie caught you.
If a sign is shouting, it is probably lying. Quiet clues tend to be honest.
Commit to a door only when you have checked the whole corridor.
